About Us

Our Story

In 1973 some faithful members of this congregation were instrumental in starting our church and we have worshipped at this present location in Clay County for over 40 years.

We are a small, non-denominational, independent Christian church in Liberty Missouri. We promote New Testament values and beliefs. We preach from the Bible and have a blended worship service. We are warm and friendly and welcome any who comes into our midst.

Meet Our Minister

Our minister grew up in Kansas City, where he participated in Scouting (Eagle Scout), basketball, baseball, band, and orchestra. He graduated from Ozark Christian College with a Bachelor of Theology in New Testament. He also attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary. He was ordained in May 1979 at College Heights Christian Church. He has experience in Youth Ministry and Music Ministry and has been an Impact Brass and Singers member. He has preached in several churches in Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois before coming to Clay County Christian Church.

Minister's Statement of Faith

I believe in the inspiration of God’s Word as the message and means to know Him, love Him and serve Him. I love my Jesus and He is Lord and Savior of my life. I am daily striving to become more like Him in everything I say and do.

Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.

Scripture

We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understand Scripture helps us all live meaningful lives.

Community

Join us. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God.

Our Mission Statement

We exist to grow God’s kingdom by sharing the gospel message of God’s redeeming Grace through Jesus Christ, to teach God’s word, and to feed and nurture his family in the Church, the community, and the World.
